Sweerin Family Ministry and Travel Update

I am amazed and honestly surprised each time I write a new blog post how much time has gone by since the previous blog update. As I reread the last blog update, I was reminded of how God desires our devotion, our time, our thoughts, and I was once again challenged. For many of us who have a list of things we hope to accomplish each day, it can become so easy to lose perspective, and begin to strive in our own strength. As we strive, we can walk farther away from the rest that God desires us to have. I know I have mentioned in previous updates, but it is a lesson I am still learning. To abide . To remain consistent and intentional in my relationship with Jesus.    As I reflect on how I am personally abiding in my relationship with Jesus. I have asked myself these questions:  Do I trust the words to Jesus? Do I believe the words of Jesus? Do I receive and believe the unconditional love of Christ?   Greetings family and friends,  The year 2022 has come to a close and we are already in our second month of 2023. I know I am a few months behind on updates... so I will try to give in short details what the last few months have looked like- November- We prepared for Jako and Amber's return from the United States. Nate worked very hard trying to get our house livable so that we could transition over before they returned. It was kind of chaotic, but we were able to manage getting transitioned before they came. Nate left for Lusaka to pick them up, so all of the children at the children's home were great helpers as they tried to help me carry all of our belongings across the property to our new house.  December- The month of December is normally one of our busiest months as the school year ends. The plowing, and planting begins. There are 4 birthdays between Joubert and our family, Jako's mother and father visited, Christmas, New Years, and all of the children go on home

Unfortunately, immigration offices deactivated the account and we had to reapply to open the account. With Jako and Amber stateside it made the process a little bit more difficult, but we were able to thankfully get all of the paperwork together and they reopened the account before our work visas expired.  The end of Term 2 was on the 5th of August. Due to remaining confusion and misunderstandings in the community towards the school many parents did not attend, so it was a little discouraging. Those in attendance were thankful for the growth they have seen in their children.  During holiday breaks from school, the school-aged children from the children's home usually get to spend some time at a relative's house for a week or two. It is good for the children to continue to build a relationship with their families and see what their
