We are ONE month away from our visit to the states. We are starting to write our lists to help us prioritize all that needs to be done here before we depart, as well as figuring out what we need to bring for our stay there. We will be visiting August 25th through the 16th of November. During this time, we hope to meet with family, friends, and supporters to update them personally about what is happening in Zambia.

Prayer Requests

1. Our work visas expire on the 1st of September; we will be applying in August for a renewal. Please pray that we will be able to continue ministering here another 2 years.

2. Our family of 8 is in need of a vehicle to use while we are visiting stateside. 

3. Prayers for Melanie as she organizes tutoring materials for the children while we are away and also trying to prepare all of the materials for our children's schooling.

4. Expenses for food, fuel, and lodging while we are stateside

  Hello Family and Friends-  I know in past posts we have mentioned the possibility of a well. October is the best time to survey and have a well dug as the water table is the lowest at this time. We talked with the Joubert family and we saw that as the needs of the ministry grow the need for water would rise as well, so in faith we all went forward with digging this well.  We had a surveyor out to the base a few weeks ago and he pinpointed an area with good potential.  As I am writing this update, the drillers have now arrived to start drilling!! Excitement is filling the camp as we anticipate the outcome. Please join with us in prayer as we  are believing that they will find good water. October/November Update

Hello family and friends!!! I began writing this blog update in the middle of October, so a few weeks have gone by since then.        As I am writing this update, a nice rain shower is passing through which is an unexpected blessing as the steady rains don't usually come until November/ December. I love the smell of the rain and the freshness and new life it brings. It has been a few months since we last updated, so we will do our best to share about what had been happening in Zambia. Children's Home There are currently 10 school- aged children and 5 babies. At the beginning of October, we transferred an 18-month-old boy back to his family. We are thankful to hear that he is adjusting well to his new home and maternal grandmother.  Within the last 3- 6 months or so, social welfare has implemented a few changes, and some new programs that have led us to have an increase in family meetings to ensure that all the information is gathered.   Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! Just like that the year 2024 went by and now we are onto 2025. It is amazing to me how quickly the time passes. Just like many of you we ushered in the new year and remembered God's perfect gift to the world...Jesus Christ. Each year brings new challenges, adventures, revelations, and opportunities of growth.  In Titus chapter 3 I was reminded of God's unconditional love that is expressed towards us. God's love for us is not based on any conditions. He desires our relationship, our trust, our faith, our obedience. So often I get performance minded.
