  Greetings from Zambia! There have been many changes and transitions since we updated you all in January. We assume that it is also true for many of you as you are all seeing and feeling the signs of spring and new beginnings. As the farmers in Iowa are busy preparing the ground in preparation for planting the seed I could not help but correlate it to what I have been learning and teaching recently. On Sundays with the children, we have been learning about the Kingdom of God and how do we seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness. In our study, we have seen the importance of keeping a heart of repentance.  We have to ask ourselves if our hearts are prepared? Do we have a heart that is ready to receive God's Word? We have been studying John the Baptist and how he warned the people to get ready for the coming Messiah.  Repentance is a word/action that we have tried to help the children comprehend as it is so crucial in them recognizing their need for salvation....

  Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! Just like that the year 2024 went by and now we are onto 2025. It is amazing to me how quickly the time passes. Just like many of you we ushered in the new year and remembered God's perfect gift to the world...Jesus Christ. Each year brings new challenges, adventures, revelations, and opportunities of growth.  In Titus chapter 3 I was reminded of God's unconditional love that is expressed towards us. God's love for us is not based on any conditions. He desires our relationship, our trust, our faith, our obedience. So often I get performance minded. I pray that I will continue to rest in God's love for me and that His peace can abound in my heart and mind no matter the circumstances.  Titus 3:4-7 But when the kindness and love of God our Savior appeared, he saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy.
